The Union Square (personal) Project was started in 2006 and continues to grow. As a studio photographer who has committed himself (very loosely) to Richard Avedon’s, “Series of No,s” as a guideline, this body of work is simplified down to a few essentials: simple lighting, simple composition and execution. These rules are also a guide in my personal photography, which often leads me to the Union Square green market, a few blocks away.
